I’m sitting at the computer working on some editing this morning when this caught my eye from out my front window. I love winter photos…and I love them even more when I don’t have to get out of my computer chair to take them.

52! {week 5}

Week fives theme was “Get out from behind the camera!”. I have really been trying to make it a habit to jump in photos with my family ever since hearing a heartbreaking story last year while at a photo conference with Denise. What I took away from the story was that if something should happen to me, my kids will be left with no pictures of us together and that is a VERY selfish act on my part. So I’m doing something about it!
I had been planning all week on how I was going to do this challenge and came up with some great ideas (which I will be saving for my clients) but Wednesday afternoon after my son got up from his nap we were all just being silly on my bed together and my camera was near by so I thought, “why not?” and propped it up on a book. I must say that 5 years ago I would have been absolutely horrified posting an image of myself with no makeup on and my hair not done but this is my life at the moment. If I have time for a daily shower and a swipe of mascara, I chalk it up to a good day. Anyways……….this is us! The real us!
