Loveable Me
Posted on March 21, 2010
There is this book my girls and I read called “I am a Loveable Me!” which encourages kids to just be themselves and reminds them they are loved no matter what. These photos PERFECTLY describe my two kids, just being themselves, both the characteristics of their chronological age and their personalities.
Rachel (almost 9 years): can be quiet and shy but in her element she’s sassy, self assured, and wise well beyond her years. As an 8 year old she’s about done with the hugs and kisses and often tells me to stop being so weird when I’m animatedly singing in the car on the way to school or operatically belting “I love you Rachel & Claire!!” while cooking in the kitchen or performing some other random chore around the house.

Claire is almost 5 years old and is my jumping bean, she has 3 modes of transportation only, skipping, jumping, or running. The second we step out of the car she grabs my hand and skips – no walking for this child! She’s the most affectionate being I’ve ever met - The Man Upstairs must’ve known she should belong to me :) She sits on me wherever she possibly can and whenever I allow – while putting together a puzzle, watching TV, and sometimes at lunch if I let her! She says “I love you mama” 10 times or more a day, I love that :) Her expression in this photo is her to a tee!

These photos were taken during a recent practice session at Ikonix Studio where Tom Woolery graciously gave Lindy and I a studio lesson. Check back soon to see our official model photos… Thanks for looking!
