NILMDTS Charity Participants!

Posted on December 30, 2010

Hello everyone! I hope you had an amazing Christmas and have fun plans for tomorrow’s eve!

Below are all the fabulous generous folks who contributed to my favorite charity, NILMDTS.  All slots were filled, thank you!! We raised $900 for the event, almost twice my goal; next year I plan to raise that much and more!

The day was a lot of fun!  The kiddos were so sweet and cute, even those who didn’t want to participate :)  Kids just can’t NOT be cute, just can’t happen.

Enjoy!

Hello and Merry Christmas Eve everyone!!  Lindy and I have been soooo CRAZY busy in December! We don’t photograph after the 1st so we can get folks’ holiday cards and orders in, but we sure are as busy as ever! Alas…. Christmas is here and I still haven’t blogged so many sessions from the fall!  Here’s the first of many… Rather than clump them all into one post I like to post individual sessions so I can talk about memories from each one, so check back over the next few weeks.

This is the J family.  I love the location they picked, one of my favorites.  As always, just before a session Lindy and I check out the area, even if we’ve been there before, to find a new magical and inspiring place there. This one had a few and we can’t wait to go back again next year.

This brother and sister made Lindy and I giggle!!  We always have our backup toys ready in preparation for a child who’s just not interested in looking at the camera or breaking a smile.  We didn’t need the toys even once this session, nothing, nada. We’d be getting ready to take a shot and look up at our family and brother and sister were already in place, smiling big, eyes twinkling.  They were sooooo sweet!!  It was almost too easy to photograph them, it was no work at all!

Time for the sibling shots – C and P smiled and interacted and giggled so genuinely. I LOVELOVELOVE that, the relationships we get to see and experience and document with our camera.  C was smiles the whole time, everytime we looked at him he was smiling.  Can you imagine waking up every day to that smile? You’d never be in a bad mood! Its contagious!

Older sister P has this grace about her, this outer and most definitely inner beauty that just shined.  I could have photographed her all day long if I was allowed, I love photographing kids like that.  She just stood and there was “the shot”.  Then she just turned one way to the right and ohmygoodness there was another one.  Every move she made I wanted to photograph.

So if you’ve ever had a session with us you know it’s fun, seriously, not bragging here, we just have fun.   Our sessions get more silly as the end draws near, especially because we are always up for embarrassing our adult subjects.  Love it.  This session was no different… check out Dad here, how big and gruff he is.  But man he was such a good sport, I love that.   We asked all of them to jump, run, race, etc – and it was awesome.  I admit, we giggled at them, it was funny. I think they giggled, too.  There’s not doubt, however, how big C and P’s smiles were after our antics. That’s what it’s all about :)
